Password Management

How often does my password need to be updated?

By default, the account password will expire after 90 days in both staging and production environments.

Can I be issued a non-expiring password?

It is possible to have a non-expiring password in your production enviroment only. We currently do not support non-expiring passswords in our staging environments.

In order to have a non-expiring password you will need to enable IP restrictions as well as provide a group email address as a contact. If you are interested in obtaining a non-expiring production password please contact connectapisupport@experian.com

How do I reset my password?

In our staging environments a manual reset of credentials is required. If your staging password has expired please make a request to connectapisupport@experian.com to have a new password issued to you.

To reset your production password follow the steps from a system with an IP address cleared for the account.

  1. Request https://stg1-ss6.experian.com/ECP2P/api/user via an internet browser
  2. You will be routed to a page requesting the User ID. Enter User ID and submit
  3. You will then be prompted to enter the current password. Enter password and submit
  4. If the password has been expired, you will be routed to a page that will allow you to create a new password. Enter required fields and submit

Your password has now been reset.
